Year 1- what a week!

This week in Year 1, we have been learning to brainstorm our ideas for what we want to write about, and further connect our ideas together in a sentence to give more information. All students successfully brainstormed their ideas, transferred them into full sentences and joined them together using conjunctions.

Please see below evidence of the fantastic work that has been taking place!

Students have also thoroughly enjoyed visiting King Swim this week and travelling on a bus for the very first time! It has been amazing to see the smiles on students faces and the resilience they’ve shown to learn new skills in the water. Thank you to the parents that have supported their children’s independence this week and encouraged them to work outside of their comfort zone.

On behalf of the Year 1 team, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year. We look forward to seeing all your wonderful faces in the school yard next year!
