Captains' Corner

I would first just like to congratulate you all on finishing a very challenging year. I know it’s been hard for each of you not only physically but mentally, you’ve each continued to push yourselves in the face of such adversity, and it truly shows determination and strength from each and everyone of you. This year has been a hard year, there’s no doubt about it, but you’ve all gotten through it. You’ve finished.

Take this time to relax, spend time with your family and friends and simply just take a breath. Enjoy these holidays - they are very much deserved.

Treat 2022 like any other year and keep pushing yourselves out of your comfort zone to achieve the very best with no regrets.

You have all done amazing. Set your goals for who you wanna become and where you want to go. Theodore Roosevelt said “Believe you can and you’re already half way there”

Now I hope all of you come back refreshed and ready for a brand new year in 2022 because Kye and I can’t wait to work with you all.  We hope for next year to be one in which you encounter the true experience of high school - memories from school events as well as those with your friends. We hope for you all to join in and take a risk.

Thank you all, I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a bright and prosperous new year.

Hello everyone!

As one of your College Captains for 2022, I look forward with excitement and anticipation to the opportunity to meet and work alongside all of you in adding positive additions to school and community life. The new decade has not treated us kindly, yet the persistent positive attitude I see on the campus motivates me to keep moving forward. The chance to make a contribution to our College atmosphere is a driving force for next year, as I wish for 2022 to be a year of great positive change.

The seeds for change have been planted, and I hope you all look to next year with the same excitement we feel to nurture them.

I wish everyone a safe and merry holiday spent with friends and family, and to return rejuvenated for another year.

Cheers to 2022!!

As a student leader for 2022, I am looking forward into making our school a more enlightened space after being in unpleasant situations during these past years.  With the hopes that there will no longer be any lockdowns, I'm hoping that in the Year 2022, we can get students more involved in activities but also being able to connect with one another and socialise.  I am also but keen to learn more about the role of being a leader and a Faith and mission captain.

As one of the Faith and Mission Captains for 2022, I am excited to learn in greater depth about the mission aspects St John's has to offer and also to reconnect with the school following the restrictions from the prior years.  I am also hopeful that restrictions won't be a prominent part of this year, and that St John's can come together, socialise, and further strengthen our college community.
