Perth Symphony Orchestra Presents- The Snowman

An enchanting Christmas story meets the magic of live orchestral music; Perth Symphony Orchestra will enchant families with the much-loved Christmas tradition, The Snowman, on Sunday 19th December.

Through classic animation and an incredible orchestral soundtrack, this heart-warming film tells the story of a young boy’s adventure with a snowman who comes to life on Christmas Eve. Performing alongside the orchestra will be the talented Perth boy soprano, Jimmy Jurjevich.

Hosted by Scotch College and presented by the wonderful Libby Hammer, this delightfully engaging show not only brings the spirit of Christmas to life, but it also introduces children to the magic of a live orchestra in a way that’s fun, relevant, and meaningful. After meeting the instruments of the orchestra and joining Perth Symphony on a musical adventure to the North Pole, this fun family show concludes with a Christmas sing-a-long and a visit from a very busy man in a red suit.

'There is something incredibly special in taking time out from the crazy pre-Christmas rush to spend time with your entire family sharing a magical Christmas experience that reminds us what Christmas is truly about. I’m so proud that The Snowman has been many Perth children’s first experience of an orchestra in concert, and they are transfixed by the music and the story. I think every child should at some point have the chance to see this moving and beautiful film.'

Bourby Webster, Founder and CEO of Perth Symphony Orchestra
