JTC Art Competition

The John XXIII College Art Competition invites students to create an artwork in their own time, with art prizes to be won and an opportunity to exhibit in the College Art Exhibition. This year we received a range of entries that creatively explored different mediums and told personal stories. A panel of judges viewed the artworks and based their final decision on creativity, originality and the application of media and skills.

The winner of this year’s Art Competition is Layla Hayes in Year 10 for her artwork 7 Sisters Dreaming.

Three highly commended prizes were also awarded:

  • Elizabeth Levey (Year 7)
  • Claire Sweet (Year 7)
  • Lyla Stewart (Year 7)

Congratulations to all students who entered the competition.
