Memories of our time at Corpus Christi School

by Year 6 students

My favourite experiences at Corpus Christi were when we went on many excursions and I got to meet many people that became my very close friends. I have been at CCK for 7 years of my life and letting it go will be a hard time. I’ve met a lot of people that have been supportive and have always encouraged me to do my best and I’m so grateful that I’ve met them. I have created many memories at this school and I have had a great time at this place. I have learnt how to do many things that I would’ve never learnt if I hadn't come here. My growth at this school is such an achievement for me. Bonnie

I haven't been at Corpus Christi for long but from the moment I started, I felt a sense of acceptance throughout the school year. I can tell that the teachers have tried their best to make me feel welcome as well as my peers. My favourite class must have been Maths, my teacher would always walk me through the questions and explain everything I didn’t understand in a way I did. I also liked Physical Education because it was a fun way to stay fit and healthy. The teachers always try to make all the games fair as well as fun while also getting everyone to participate. Overall Corpus Christi has been a school I can learn to the fullest of my ability while also having fun. Delina

I remember all the great memories at this school, spending it with my friends. I've been here for 7 years and loved every moment of it. I have had amazing friends and teachers. Thank you teachers for all the great memories and excursions I have had at Corpus Christi. My favourite memories I have had at this school are all the fun and exciting things and excursions in my life that had happened at this wonderful school. The friends I have met and teachers here are such amazing people and I would never forget the time I have had at this school. Zarah

I have really enjoyed my seven years at Corpus Christi Kingsville. I have made new friends every day which I hope will last forever. The memories I have from this school are some of my happiest ones. I still remember when in Prep we made a circus and performed an act. I remember when we were in Year 1 we did a science-themed inquiry topic. In Year 2, we did a topic on dinosaurs. These past 7 years have been the best years of my life and I am incredibly sad to leave Corpus Christi Kingsville. Julia

I really liked going on excursions in Year 4 and building a tent during remote learning. I’m really happy I came here because I met some really good friends and really great teachers. The expo in Year 4 was really cool and fun to present all my projects to others and doing ‘camp’ was really fun this year and doing the art pieces was also fun. I really enjoyed the 3 years here at Corpus Christi, I’m really happy to have met a bunch of people that became my new friends. The one disco in Year 4 was also really exciting and I’m sad that it’s my last year. Everything that I experienced here was exciting and really fun.  Alexa

Corpus Christi has been a great school to be at. I have been here for 7 years and I have really enjoyed every second of it. I remember in Prep having buddies to look after us and I remember having so much fun.  This school has made my life more fun. I remember going on the art excursions every year and going to athletics day and having so much fun. The teachers have been great teaching me and I have learnt so much over the past years. I thank all the teachers that have taught me over the years. Next year I am going to Maribyrnong Sports College and I am super excited to start a new chapter but I will always remember the good times. Thank you for all the good times! Mia

Corpus Christi is a good school because it is a good community and gives us good opportunities to learn and have fun. I liked the excursions to the zoo because we got to see all the nice animals there. I also liked the sporting carnivals because they encourage us to be active and to make friends. Overall it was a good time. Gabriel

My 7 long years at Corpus have been hard, sad, but I was always comforted by either the teachers or my friends. I remember in Prep how I was scared of adapting to this new life, but I had some friends coming in with me so I had some friends. I remember in Year 1 and 2 when I was with the kind Miss McNeil and the wonderful Mrs La Fauci. I remember when we had the school fete and when we went on rides and watched the talent show. I remember all the swimming lessons and the school discos and athletic carnivals. Year 3 and 4 was alright but Years 5 and 6 were probably the best 2 years I have had here. I had the honour of getting the role of Sports Captain for 2 years in a row. It was a shame that Covid made us miss out on activities but that didn’t stop the teachers from working hard and making sure we had a good time. I am going to miss this school a lot as I move into high school. Thank you for the best 7 years of my life Corpus! Thomas

I remember the sports carnivals in Prep for the first time, when I went swimming and to the NGV. We did lots of events at CCK. I have made so many good memories. It made me a better person and has taught me a lot of things. Ryan L

This school has taught me lots of stuff and given me lots of friends and new experiences. Corpus Christi took us to lots of amazing excursions and great memories. I remember all the school discos and fairs, we always had lots of fun and we always made good memories. I will always remember getting the sports captain role for MacKillop and singing our team chant. This school has made me a better person and I hope that many more people can come here and feel the same. Levi

I liked when we went to that sewer system place and learned about the sun and how to tell which is north, south, east and west. I also liked all of the specialists classes and being able to learn a bit of my own language. It was great to meet all of my new friends at this school that I am now going to high school with. It is sad that our art teacher Miss Natalie is leaving because she was a great art teacher and she always had the best ideas for the terms. I also loved going to the NGV once in a while. Roman

I remember when I was a Prep and I used to be scared but Mrs Childs helped me adapt to the room that was a good memory of my life. I remember the school fest. I remember Mr Lane. And I miss my grade 4 friend :’(. And I loved the school discos! Aryton

Corpus Christi Kingsville, has been an incredible experience for the past 7 years. Meeting the most kind and loving friends and teachers, that we all have to go on our own paths. From Year Prep to Year 6 so many amazing memories were made with my classes, teachers, and peers. In Year Prep, I always looked up to the Year 6s and wanted to be leaders just like them. Once I got into Year 6, I tried my hardest to be a social justice leader. I luckily got the role and helped my teachers and Principal with jobs. Thank you all for the most amazing primary school adventure!  Charlotte

Corpus Christi has been a really fun experience for me and all the  friends I have made during all my years here. My favourite memory was probably getting the role of being sport captain this year. It has been really fun getting the role of it. And the excursions throughout all the years have been fun. Naomi

Some of my fondest memories are meeting new people throughout the years, and making new friends. It was also lots of fun when we did swimming up to Year 4 at MAC. All of the teachers have been really nice, so it was a fun experience. Mya

Being able to explore all types of learning and having people who support you. Making friends that will push you to your limits and who will look out for you is very easy at this school. Going on excursions, seeing other schools and competing against them is always fun. Even though we had to move online for most of this year and last year, the teachers made sure we could still have some of the experiences we missed out on. Clio

I enjoyed attending the many excursions and incursions, being able to learn about different subjects in a fun and less-boring way. It was also very easy to make new friends and meet new people. All the teachers and students are very supportive, making all the experiences way better. I also enjoyed presenting my work during the expo(s). Kim

NAPLAN School Readiness Test (SRT)

Our Year 3 and 4 children sat the NAPLAN SRT today. They showed confidence and maturity throughout the SRT. Thank you to all the children and teachers for assistance with testing the schools ICT Capacity to be able to sit the NAPLAN online in 2022. Well done!
