Sasika’s Success Story

Sasika and her family migrated to Australia from Sri Lanka.  Sasika was a participant at the Community Hub’s, Conversational English sessions to improve her English skills and she also volunteered at the school canteen.

The experience Sasika gained by attending the English sessions and volunteering at the canteen helped her to secure full-time work at Nido Early School cooking for the children.

Well done Sasika

If you are looking to get into the workforce, perhaps thinking about volunteering at the school and/or the Community Hub.

End of Year Celebration

The Sewing group had a wonderful end of year celebration last Wednesday.

The participants brought along tasty food from their cultures and sewing also continued.

Thank you to Anthea, Jenn and Kheiryeh for your assistance in running this fantastic sewing group and sewing the backdrop for the end of year graduation photos.

If you would like to learn how to sew or become more confident in sewing an outfit for yourself, please contact Jude, Hub Leader.
