Year 10 Art and Studio Art Excursion to The Art Of Banksy

Year 10 Art and Studio Art excursion to The Art Of Banksy
On Monday night, Ms. Watters and I took a group of Year 10 Art and Studio Art students to the city to see the exhibition The Art of Banksy.
Banksy is a world renowned street artist who has chosen to remain anonymous throughout his rise to notoriety. Banksy’s street art can found all around the world and is mostly political with a humorous slant.
We began our excursion viewing the exhibition at a site in a car park behind Fed Square and ended our excursion walking through city laneways. The laneways included Hosier Lane which is well known for its street art created by both international and Australian street artists.
Congratulations to the winner of the Art Showcase Leelou Scembri-Crisp who won first prize, a ticket to the Banksy exhibition. Thank you to all the students who attended. It was a great night of art viewing.
