ABC radio is reporting on the proposed industrial action by Catholic school teachers and support staff across NSW and the ACT. Some schools in the Armidale Diocese are participating, however, St Philomena’s School staff is not. The operational working of the school remains unchanged with business as usual.
Last week we had secondary students attend a competition in Armidale: Speak for the Planet. We were most successful in the two day competition, bringing home some great achievements. Even better than a win was an email received yesterday from one of the judges.
“As one of the judges last week, I was very impressed with the team that visited Armidale. Out of the schools, St Philomena’s students personally acknowledged us and thanked us after the event. These student are a credit to your school and to Moree. The high level of engagement and enthusiasm was reflected in the results. Congratulations again. Keep up the great work.”
The P & F Association hosted an exceptional event for our school community last week; the Colour Fun Run. Thank you to those who organised the event, assisted on the night and families who attended. See you in 2018 to do it all again.
