Principal

Schools are dynamic places and St Philomena’s School is no exception to this. We are unapologetically a Catholic school where learning and faith have an equal top spot in our purpose. Walk into a learning space on any day, be present at the agricultural plot, on the oval or in the school hall and you will see students engaged at work in quality learning experiences. As a Catholic community, faith is witnessed every day including our recent school mass to celebrate and acknowledge Australia’s first saint, Mary McKillop.

Showcasing learning to our parent community, unique experiences are plentiful in the coming weeks. The K-10 performance “ Grooving to Groups ”, Primary (Year 3-6) Public Speaking Finals, Year 7  Zine Fair and Write a Book in a Day experience for Secondary students. Please view our calendar for dates and additional communication platforms for more specific information.

The Principal recruitment process, conducted by the CSO, continues. It is anticipated that before the end of Term 3 an announcement will be made.

DROUGHT RELIEF

At this time of drought which is affecting so many in our community, the school and The Catholic Schools Office are aware that some families may be suffering hardship. Families whose income has been affected by the current drought are asked to contact the Principal to discuss any assistance that the school may be able to offer.
