Working with your child at home:

This week all children in Years 2 - 6 will receive a collection of spelling lists for use at home. These will be used for a spelling competition in Term 3. The lists consist of most commonly used words and core lists for primary classes. When your child can confidently spell all the words on one list, they will be tested at school. When they successfully test on a whole page of lists, they will receive a St Philomena’s Spelling Merit.

Spelling Lists - thank you for your positive response to these. Testing will begin tomorrow via an online Google Classroom test with your child's results being automatically emailed to them.

Reading Logs Clarification -  the Reading Logs are for 20 NIGHTS of reading, not 20 different books. Reading on Saturday and Sunday can be included.

Maths booklet - coming soon! A booklet of important facts that your child needs to recall automatically. It will run in a similar way to the spelling book.
