Participation and Leadership Program

PAL, or Participation and Leadership Program, is a program run by Year 12s who plan and undergo an activity for five weeks which will benefit both the student facilitators and the students participating in the activities. For Cycle 2 of PAL, our group decided to organise Cookie Decorating lunchtime sessions for the girls. With only icing, a biscuit and some lollies, the girls were able to make some wonderful creations and also get to eat it! A treat for their hard work. Although some may say this activity has no benefits, we disagree. Not only were girls able to display their creativity but we were also lucky to witness the formation of friendships between girls from the same or different year levels. We focused on welcoming all girls - in association with our school theme of ‘Hospitality’ - and celebrate coming together with enthusiasm and joy. We were so lucky for this five week activity to be the success it was and we would like to thank all the girls who participated and attended. Thank you also to the teachers who approved this activity and allowed us to utilise the space we were given.
