Student Achievements

The children of Kalinda have many wonderful talents, achievements and hobbies. If your child has recently celebrated an achievement of some sort we would love to hear about it! Maybe they have broken a record at Little Athletics, earned a new belt in Karate, been selected for a choir or dance group, or been awarded a special badge in Cubs, Scouts or Guides. Whatever the accomplishment, please send details (and photos if possible) to hopkins.lauren.d@edumail.vic.gov.au or chat to Lauren Hopkins (Assistant Principal) because we would really like to share their achievements here!

Archie's brave shave!

We are incredibly proud of Archie in 3/4H who recently decided to lose his locks for a fantastic cause.

Shortly after Archie was born, his Grandad Joe Tront sadly lost his life to Brain Cancer. In his honour, after growing his hair for 5 long years, Archie decided to donate it to a charity that makes wigs for people suffering the effect of Cancer treatment.

Your kind and selfless act has brought joy to many people Archie and we are very proud of you.

Kalinda Netball Stars

On Saturday 22nd June 2019, we had many children from Kalinda PS (representing Park Orchards Netball Club) participate in the MELBOURNE EAST NETBALL ASSOCIATION "Grand Final" at the new Maroondah Nets Stadium, at HE Parker Reserve in Heathmont. It was a fantastic day, starting with a Round Robin for the Under 9 Net Set Go players and then following on with the Grand Final games for each age group. There were a lot of nerves and excitement on the day, with many girls playing in their first Grand Final.

Park Orchards Netball Club had 5 teams playing in the Grand Final on the day and the results were as follows:

U11 JADE TEAM - Section 1 "Premiers"

Score 21 - 5

U11 TEAL TEAM - Section 4 "Runners Up"

Score 5 - 8

U11 TURQUOISE TEAM - Section 5 "Premiers"

Score 19 - 6

U13 TURQUOISE TEAM - Section 5 "Runners Up"

Score 8 - 16

OPEN JADE TEAM - Open Section "Premiers"

Score 35 - 29

In both the Under 11 and Under 13 teams, many Kalinda girls were playing in the Grand Final. You may recognise some of their friendly faces in the photo.

We would like to congratulate them all on their achievements, efforts and great sportsmanship shown throughout the day. They really did Kalinda proud!

Well done to all!
