Grade 3/4 Excursion
On Wednesday 18th March 2020 the Yr 3/4 students will be attending an excursion to Polly Woodside National Trust Museum. As part of our Inquiry learning this term, we have been investigating the perspectives of White Settlers.
The two hour facilitated session includes a range of hands-on activities from using the capstan, ringing the bell on watch, trying out the bunks in the Liverpool deckhouse, furling sails on a spar, scrubbing decks and trying their hand as the helmsman at the wheel. The students will eat their lunch at the museum. We will travel by bus, departing at 12 noon, giving us time to eat our lunch before commencing our learning experience at 1 p.m. The experience will end at 3 p.m. and we anticipate returning to school at approximately 3:30 p.m. depending on traffic on the day (if we are delayed with our return time we will communicate this via the school app).
