THANKYOU TERM 1 KITCHEN & GARDEN VOLUNTEERS

On behalf of the students and the Level 3 teachers, we would like to extend a VERY BIG THANK YOU to ALL families who have helped in the kitchen garden program this term.

We have had a very safe and successful term of cooking, thanks to the careful supervision provided by the volunteers. The garden has thrived and survived all that recent heat and now is gearing up for our winter plantings.

The support of everyone is truly appreciated.

Kitchen sessions for each class will remain the same days and times as Term1.

The children will be bringing home a hard copy of Term 2 volunteer roster.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY GARDEN HELP PLEASE

The holidays are almost upon us and I have a request for helpers over the break. We have a very unruly boysenberry plant at the corner of the Weeroona Road end of the garden. I'm intending to dig it all out over the holidays to allow us to reclaim that patch of garden. I would appreciate adult help to do this. If anyone can help out on Wednesday 5 April from 10am onwards (even for a short period), it would be greatly appreciated. Children are welcome as well, and I will allocate them more child friendly tasks. Please let the office know (9568 1300) if you are interested in helping and I'll contact you via email to co-ordinate.

The term 2 garden schedule will be emailed to volunteers by the end of this week.
