PE & Sport - Ms McLeary

PE Lessons

Prep/1 students have been busy this term focusing on learning how to kick and develop some basic soccer skills. We will move on to how to kick an AFL ball with the Punt over the next few weeks. Students have also consolidated their skills of skip, jump and throw.

Year 2/3 students have begun their Invasion Games unit and are learning how to dodge, throw and catch successfully as well as developing their understanding of attack and defence when we play small sided games.

Year 4/5/6 students are developing their understanding of invasion games and how tactics and techniques are similar across games such as Soccer, Netball and AFL. They will also get the opportunity to try different roles in sport such as referee, coach, scorer etc.

District Cross Country

Last Friday we took 30 students to Kevin Bartlett reserve to compete in the District Cross Country against the other local primary schools. All students worked hard to complete the course and showed great resilience and commitment while representing the school.
