YOUTH MINISTRY

Last week was the second week of the Junior School’s Youth Group! Each Thursday lunchtime throughout the Second Term Patrick and I, members of the Year 11 Youth Ministry class, are running a Youth Group for the Year 7 and 8's. Commencing with board games day and a UNO tournament, competitions are running each week with prizes up for grabs and a chance to go in the running for our raffle which will be drawn at the end of Term 2. This week will be a general knowledge Kahoot. We encourage Junior students to join us as it’s an excellent opportunity to meet others and participant in fun games and activities!

CHESS TOURNAMENT - GIPPSLAND

Junior Chess Team

Senior Chess Team

Andrew Martin, Jeffrin Mathew, Harrisen Herbert, Lachlan Aulich, Zephyr Anderson, Patrick Vella

Competing in a Gippsland-Interschool Teams Tournament – consisting of 13 schools such as Scotch, Brighton, Haileybury and Lavalla, with approximately 140 players.

So nice to sit with the teams, to listen to their enthusiasm and watch how keen they all are when the alert sounds for the game to start and they all go quiet.

Well done to Jeffrin for getting 5 points for the day and coming overall 20th.

Well done to Koen Morton (Junior) with 4½ points with a position of 26th.
