Principal's Message

Term 2 Week 9

We made it through Lockdown 4.0!

Thank you to all our families for their support. There is no way that Remote Learning happens without all our parents and carers getting involved. We know how challenging this time has been and want you all to know how much we appreciate your continued enthusiasm and perseverance when it comes to connecting your children to their Google Meets and Zooms - and that's just for starters! We know students valued the small groups for English and Mathematics.

5/6 Camp Coonawarra

What a huge relief to send off our 5/6's for their camp. Thank you to staff and families for getting everything organised in such a short space of time, so that students would have this experience. We know how important these memories can be and after not being able to attend last year it is good to be able to this year. Even so we have been very mindful of the weather and operating in a COVID safe manner for the whole of camp.

Update: They made it safely arriving around 2.00pm.

School Council Annual Public Reporting Meeting

This annual meeting (which this year will need to be held over Zoom) is an opportunity to hear back from council about the Annual Report and the school’s achievement over the past year. The Annual Report was published last term and was linked in the Newsletter. You can find it on our website -

Dates

Please keep an eye on our Important Dates page as we try to keep up with cancellations and postponements due to changing restrictions.

Reports and Portfolios

Student reports will be published via Sentral next Wednesday. Student Portfolios will be finalised for the Semester by next Wednesday and should be viewed in conjunction with the report.

Week 3 of Term 3 Three Way Conferences will be held (and we hope these will be face to face) with students, parents/carers and class teachers. The report, goals and reflections are discussed at the conference.

Planning Week

Next week all teams meet for the day to plan for Term 3. Statement of Intents are published via Sentral and are on the Website. Parents can use these Statements to know what is planned to be covered each week in all subjects, some of the special events and assessments planned.

Junior School Production: Colour Catastrophe

Mrs Andrews is busy rehearsing classes for the production. Unfortunately, we would not be able to have an audience to perform, to next week, so we have organised for the Production to be filmed on Wednesday 23rd. All students must bring their costumes in a named bag by this Friday ready for a full dress rehearsal on Tuesday. Although this is not the way we hoped Production would proceed it is important students have been able to rehearse and then will get to perform in front of the Senior School.

DVD's of the performance will be made available for families to purchase. Details will follow.
