College Production

It’s here! Show week is around the corner. The cast and crew across all year levels have been waiting for the moment we move into Cardinia Cultural Centre and show you what we’ve been working on all term.

Don’t just take my word for it, here are what some of the production students have to say:

My production highlight was realising that who we were didn't matter. In production, we were all people who loved theatre, we all love each other and treat each other fairly, we are kind to each other and we were all one but we are all different, we are just Pakenham Secondary's Back to the 80s. People should support the production as a cast and crew group we have all dedicated our time to create a fantastic and mind-blowing show (thanks to Miss Lentini for her amazing creative input) and as we have dedicated time and sweat and some tears to this show, we all would love to share it with the community.

Asher S, Cast Member, Year 10

I think my highlight would be being able to spend time with this amazing kind cast + crew and group of teachers helping who always supports everybody. I know everybody should come and support the show because it's an amazing show with amazing scenes, an amazing storyline and amazing choreography.

Jaxon L, Cast Member, Year 8

The 2023 production, "Back to the 80's", has been a truly mesmerising experience to be a part of, and I am happily continuing to be a part of it as the official performance nights draw ever closer.

The props, costumes and dances all culminate in a vibrant celebration (and, at some points, parody) of perhaps the most nostalgic period in human history. Moreover, I can personally guarantee after viewing several rehearsals as a member of the crew that this experience will be worth every last cent.

Furthermore, the success can result in future productions, and I for one hope it can achieve an overwhelming abundance of support to do so.

Kade A, Crew Member, Year 12

A production highlight of mine would definitely have to be the production star charts that were done over the school holiday rehearsals, everyone was writing so positively about one another! As for why everyone should come and support the show? For one, it'll be a great way to support the school. Cast and crew have been working together to get this show to be the best it possibly could be. It is such a wonderful community to be a part of.

Ava P, Crew Member, Year 9

My production highlight has been meeting people, getting to know new people, new teachers. It has been such a fun time with everyone involved in this show.

I think everyone should come because the show is turning out to be good, it's super fun to watch and you wouldn't miss out!

Kim K, Cast Member, Year 7

The highlight of the production is meeting new people and making some new friends. I believe people should come and watch our show as we have put amazing amounts of effort into it.

Matilda H, Cast Member, Year 9

I love this production it is my highlight of the week. A highlight of Back To The 80s is the connection all the cast and crew have! We all get along so well. A good reason why you should come and support our show is because we all love it and take 2 days 3:30-5:30pm and most lunchtimes to rehearse and someone gets lifted into the air TWICE! It will be so much fun!

Paige M, Cast Member, Year 7

The best part of working on the production has been working with the other cast and crew members. I've met so many people I never would've met outside of the production. It's been great meeting and getting to know everyone.

I think everyone should come and show support for all the hard work and effort the cast, crew and creative team have put into this show because it's a great way to strengthen the PSC community. This production has been amazing for bringing more people together.

Lauren C, Cast Member, Year 9

The production is such a supportive, friendly and judgement-free environment for everyone. I love everything about the college production, but my highlight has definitely been the scene work with Abbie, Kenisha, Hayley, Jamie and all the other cast members. If you can, please buy tickets to see the production and enjoy the show, we have all put so much effort!
