Our Principal Dancer - James Nimaya Year 10

It has been a busy month for James, not only is he our student choreographer for the College Production, 'Back to the 80's, but he has also been attending all-consuming rehearsals as part of the Principal Cast of the Victorian State Schools Spectacular. During the last week of the school holidays the main cast had an intensive week of rehearsals which culminated in a visit by 7 News, who filmed a sneak peak of their performance.

With just over six weeks remaining to the event, our talented dance troupe will also be putting the final touches to their routines at their all-day rehearsal on Monday, 31st July as part of the Southern Region Mass Dance.

This year’s show – Happy Travels – will follow an intrepid group of hapless tourists as they traverse the globe in a cavalcade of circus mayhem. The show will include giant puppets and a dazzling circus fairground with awe-inspiring aerialists, while the score will deliver music from the Pacific, Japan, Britain, Italy and Australia’s First Nations.

The VSSS will take place at the John Cain Arena on Saturday, 9th September at 1pm and 6:30pm.
