Parents & Friends Gardening Team

We are lucky enough to have a wonderful team of parents & friends who are volunteering their time to help around our school grounds doing some much needed gardening. The group generally meets on Wednesdays or Fridays, however anytime you can spare would be appreciated. Jobs around the school include-

  • Weeding garden beds
  • Putting mulch/tanbark on garden beds
  • Raking soft fall back underneath play equipment
  • Leave blowing

We would like to invite any parents, carers & friends who would like to help out around the school gardens and join the team to please contact Le.Page.PS@education.vic.gov.au or call 9583 8342.  A Working With Children's Check is required when volunteering on school grounds.

To support the Leader in Me Journey our school will be conducting a survey to learn more about key areas of strength and areas of further development in our school. The data from this survey will also help us track the impacts of the Leader in Me process and implement key practices more fully. For us to have a holistic picture of what is going on in our school, we are asking all staff members, parents/guardians, and students to participate in the survey.

For parents and carers, the survey window is now open and will close on Friday 25th of August

The parent and carer survey is anonymous and takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. You will respond to questions about your child and about his or her experience in our school. If you have more than one child attending the school, you will be asked to think about the oldest child’s experiences as you respond, related to his or her growth.

Please use the link below to complete the survey: https://www.leaderinme.com/s/le-page-primary-school/families

Movie Making Program 2023

Movie production is in its initial stage for 2023 and the students are loving learning their lines and practicing filming. This is an annual celebratory experience, which ends in a film festival at the cinemas. It takes a professional director and producer to facilitate the lengthy process. We hire the services of Bruce Grantford from Kids in Shorts – fantastic film festivals for primary schools. https://www.kidsinshorts.com.au/ The cost of Bruce Grantford’s service is $80 per student and covers:

  • 10 workshop/rehearsal days
  • 10 shoot days
  • 18 edit days
  • scripts, music and sound effects
  • digital movie links

The preferred payment date is by Friday June 16th.  However, payments may be made up until the last day of term, Friday June 23rd. Those facing financial hardship are encouraged to contact our Business Manager as we would like all students to enjoy this experience. The movies will not be uploaded on public social media platforms. Cinema seat tickets will go on sale in November, for the November screening. This is a whole school event and payments can be made though Compass Events ( + button in the middle, bottom of a mobile device- Pay for an event)

Student Medications and Action Plans 🚑

It is important for our school to have an updated copy of an Asthma Action Plan, Anaphylaxis and/or Allergy Plan for the health and wellbeing of your child and to adhere to our school policies. These forms need updating yearly to comply with our management policy.

To help us complete this process, it would be appreciated if you could please arrange to have the form/s completed. Please note your doctor needs to prepare and sign this form.

It is also important that you come past the front office to replace any medication that is out of date or no longer needed.  If your child does not already have medication at the office and needs it, please provide all medications with names to the office ASAP.

If you have any questions, or would like a copy of the forms please contact the front office

Thank you for your help in managing this.
