Mr. Carlyle's Message
Hello families and welcome to this week’s newsletter.
Parent Opinion Survey
Our Parent Opinion Survey is now open and we would love all families to complete this. It provides valuable feedback to us and helps us review school operations to ensure they are meeting the needs of the community.
To log in to take the survey, simply go to the School Portal by either clicking on the link below, or copying and pasting the text into your browser:
https://www.orima.com.au/parent
All parents/caregivers/guardians use the same six-digit PIN, which will be emailed to families separately to the newsletter so as to not be made public and remain available only to currently enrolled families. Responses are confidential for this survey.
We greatly appreciate families completing this survey and providing us with valuable feedback. This feedback forms part of our strategic decision-making as a School Improvement Team.
Staffing Announcement
Due to some unforeseen personal circumstances, Mr. Brian Reynold's current extension programs will be put on hold until further notice. We Ballan Primary School firstly would like to wish Brian a very speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back when he is ready and able. Extension program work will be adapted where possible to reflect within the classroom teaching and learning space for students in the program.
Edols St. Pick up and Drop off parking
A reminder to the community that there is a marked school crossing on Edols St. There have been reported instances of cars parked within the crossing flags area and even across the crossing itself. Please be aware that there is a 15-meter no-standing zone clearly signed on either side of the crossing when the flags are displayed.
OSHC Program - Notification of absences
The out-of-school hours care program is currently experiencing high demand. We ask that in instances where your child may be booked to attend OSHC, yet no longer needs to attend that morning or afternoon, to please let OSHC know promptly as there is a waiting list most days.
2024 Enrolment
Foundation enrolments for 2024 are also due. A reminder if you haven’t yet completed and returned enrolment forms and required evidence that these can be scanned and emailed or dropped off at the office.
Have a great week, bye for now!
Healthy Lunch Box Choices and Nude Food
Please help reduce waste in our school by packing 'Nude Food' (food without excess packaging) and whole foods or unprocessed foods in your child's lunch box. Click here for further resources and 'Healthy Lunch Box' suggestions or to download the Pick and Mix poster for the fridge!
