PC news this week

This week the Parent’s Committee helped the school to celebrate Principal’s Day with the arrival of several cakes to mark the occasion.  Last week we also presented a gift to Carole Micciche to mark her time at the school.  There are so many events coming up at the school over the next few weeks: Women’s World Cup screening, a working bee to make 10 new garden beds, a celestial stargazing night, Arts festival food trucks and Father’s day stall and Father’s Day breakfast. We hope that you can join us and make the most of what the Parent’s Committee has to offer the CJC community.  The PC will also hold a planning meeting next Friday 18 August at 9 - 10 in the staff room to prepare, plan and report on our events – all welcome!

Women’s World Cup – Saturday from 4.30pm: The school will open its doors so families can watch the Matildas take on the Bleues in the quarterfinals. Doors open at 4.30pm for game time at 5.00pm. This event is a school fundraiser and door tickets are $5 and some food and drinks will be on sale during the match.  No alcohol permitted and students must be supervised. May the best team win! If you can help us serve food at the match please let  us know ASAP.

Working Bee, Sunday 12 August: Please come to the Working Bee this Sunday where one of the key goals is to fill the 10 raised garden beds that the PC bought with funds raised at our Mother’s Day events.  Bring your gloves, spades, garden tools, drills, wheel-barrows and plenty of energy!
