Religious Education 

This coming Thursday, the Year 3 cohort will be ‘making bread’, symbolic of Sacramental bread, also called Communion bread, Communion wafer, Eucharistic bread. This is a Sacred Heart tradition where all Year 3 children take part in making, breaking, sharing and celebrating with the children preparing for the Sacrament of Eucharist and Confirmation. 

During last weekend's Mass gatherings at St Mary’s Church, some of our children continued to  prepare for their Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. Thank you to the staff from Sacred Heart and St Mary’s for their help and support in taking the children to the Gathering Space,  reading and discussing this week’s Gospel story with the children before they completed an activity that reminded them of all the people that support them in life.
