This year most students in Years 3 and 5 took part in NAPLAN, and the results are in! We are delighted to see a significant number of students achieving strong results in Numeracy, Reading, Writing and Spelling across the board, with some students exceeding the expected level in each area. After the disruption from Covid, it is wonderful to see such strong data. Our whole school approaches to Literacy and Numeracy are clearly impacting student learning, with support from the range of learning interventions, extension groups and tutoring programs we offer. Well done to students, families and staff on this collective effort!
Exciting times at Fatima! As part of our commitment to digital technology we are pleased to offer the chance to purchase some older Chromebooks as part of our device management plan. There are 35 fully working Chromebooks with chargers available for a donation of at least $20 to our digital technology fund. First preference will be given to families who currently have a pension card, then processed in order (one per family). If you are interested please email Gill Carr (gcarr@fatimarosebud.catholic.edu.au) by Friday August 11. Families will be notified.
For a short time, the CSIRO is offering discounted subscription to the Double Helix magazine. If you have a budding scientist at home it is worth checking out... plus they have the excitement of receiving something in the post once a month!
