Sports Update 

NETBALL TEAM WINNERS!

Congratulations to our Year 5&6 Mixed Netball team that played in the Beachside Division Netball Winter Play-Offs on Wednesday.  Our team played three other schools over the day and impressively won ALL three of their games, to win their Mixed Division!  According to Coach Kay, all 11 team members played to their best abilities and were a great example to our school.  Game 1 saw a 12-6 win against Murrumbeena PS, which turned out to be the toughest game for the day.  The team then played St Agnes Highett, coming away with a convincing 18-3 win.  The final game was against Elwood PS, where the team proved how well they combined, to win an impressive 20-5! 

A special thank you goes to Miss Kay for her coaching efforts with this team.  We’d also like to express a huge thank you to all the supporting parents that assisted with scoring and cheering the team along over the day at Oakleigh Rec! The team now moves onto the next level of competition - Southern Metropolitan Regionals.  This is set to be played in Pakenham on Friday 18th August.  We wish them all the very best for this next level of competition.

SENIOR HOOPTIME - here we go!

We wish our five Year 5&6 HoopTime teams all the very best for the big day out at MSAC Basketball stadium tomorrow.  All teams are very excited about playing in this fun round-robin tournament against all other Dendy District schools.  A massive thank you to the huge amount of parents that have offered their time to support many of the teams.  Mr Anderson, Mr Tyndall and Sue Humble are looking forward to the day with our students as well.
