National Ride2School Day - Friday 25th March

Well done to all students who participated in National Ride2School day last Friday. It was great to see so many different students having a go at riding to school and demonstrating a commitment to active travel.

Each class had a go at collecting riding data and graphing how many students rode to school on this day. Congratulations to 2A and 4A for having the most students ride to school.

Last day of term - Easter bonnet parade & Pyjama Day!

On the last day of term (Friday 8th April), the SCC team will be holding a Pyjama Day to help raise money for the Good Friday Appeal. Students are asked to bring in a gold coin donation to help support this fundraiser. The funds will be donated to the Royal Children's Hospital.

As part of this day, students will be participating in an Easter Bonnet parade. For this, we encourage students to make their own Easter hat that they can wear for the parade. This parade will begin at 9:15am out on the oval. Parents are welcome to come and watch.

Please start thinking about what materials you may like to use to help make your Easter Bonnet. You can be as creative as you wish. It would be great to see students incorporating recycled materials to hand make their bonnet.

The Fun Way to Use Sticks!!

There are many fun ways to play with sticks. You can build awesome

things with sticks, such as cute little snail houses for your tiny little friends,

and big spacious cubby houses for you and your best friends. Although, we

need to learn how to play with them safely. When we play with sticks,

we need to keep them near the ground and make sure that we

are not waving and swinging them around; especially in peoples faces!

If you would like to borrow sticks from another cubby,  you can ask politely if you can borrow it. If they say no, you just need to go on with your day and find some other ones!
