Tomorrow Man/Tomorrow Woman

Tomorrow Man/Tomorrow Woman

On Monday 11 October, all the Year 10 students attended either a Tomorrow Man or Tomorrow Woman session, where we spoke about topics that are not often discussed in today’s society.

Students had the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone and express their views and opinions.  Some of the subjects that were covered included;

  • things that are experienced as young people
  • what individuals may go through on a daily basis
  • how we can break down the stigma of talking about important topics such as mental health and self-doubts in various situations.

Many of us were surprised to learn that they can relate to others in their group about certain situations: whether that be sexism, racism, homophobia.

The workshop allowed all Year 10 students the opportunity to speak their mind and address personal or social issues that many struggle with, but is not normalised in conversations.
