Principal's Report

Ciao a Tutti!

Dear students, parents and carers,

I am so thrilled to confirm that next week on Tuesday 9th November we will have our Italian Day, celebrating Italian culture, sport, language, art and music!

Thanks to the amazing ACPS staff for being so supportive and helping to make this event happen!

Unfortunately we won't be able to welcome the awesome pappardelle workshop as originally scheduled due to the new operation guidelines in schools, but don't worry we will still have so much fun!

Students will be rotating through great activities involving different skills and doing a variety of tasks all related to Italian culture! And there will be a yummy surprise for lunch! Guess who is coming with a cute little van? You got it, we will have gelato!! (Please note the ice-cream is gluten, dairy and nut free.)

For the day, students and teachers are invited and encouraged to dress up, for example inspired by Italian colours, fashion, cuisine, sport, art, etc... Be creative and use clothes you have already at home! Please do not feel obliged to dress up if you are not up for it, you can wear your school uniform or casual clothes!).

Make sure you have a CAPPELLO/ hat though!

If you have any inquiries or questions about the day, please feel free to email me: ginevra.debenedetti@education.vic.gov.au

The Green Thumb student leaders are excited to re-start our recycling program upon our return to onsite school. Certificates will be proudly presented in Assembly on 5 November and they are actively finding ways to re-use and recycle waste from our classrooms and lunch boxes.

We have new paper recycling bins and will be starting ‘soft plastic’ collection next week in every classroom. Green thumbs are invited to take home ‘soft plastics’ each week or bring them to 2SB classroom and they will be kindly deposited at local collection sites by Ellissa Nitschinsk who works in our library. We will also start up our Nude Food Wednesday in the coming weeks.
