Term 4 - Week 2: Junior Sport Update

The countdown is on. Only one-and-a-half weeks to go before we start back towards some ‘normality’ with schooling. I look forward to seeing everyone on campus shortly and finishing off the school year together.

With last term’s announcement that IPSHA has cancelled the Term 4 Summer Season and the remaining representative competitions, many boys in the Junior School will be feeling a little deflated. Once we have returned to the College, we will be looking very closely at the NSW Public Health Orders and what may be possible to offer the boys in the Junior School. I will inform the College community at the earliest possible time of any opportunities that we will be able to provide.

While Co-curricular Sport has been cancelled for this term, not all Co-curricular activities have been put on hiatus. Many of the boys in the Junior school are involved in activities online, such as choir, music lessons and the Junior School Justice (JSJ) group. This group has been meeting each Wednesday throughout remote learning to discuss justice issues that affect the Junior School and its community. Under the guidance of Mr Cooper, JSJ have been producing a newsletter. No doubt you have enjoyed reading this publication each week.

The boys in Years 5 and 6 have shown great commitment to the group over the remote learning period and should be commended on their efforts and initiative with highlighting justice issues in the Junior School. Also, a big thank you to Mr Cooper for his commitment to JSJ and his expert guidance of the boys. We look forward to the next addition of the JSJ Newsletter.
