HSC Success Seminar - Year 11 and Year 12

Last night over 70 Year 11 and 12 students and parents attended our inaugural HSC Success Seminar. Mr Coleman spoke initially about research findings related to successful student study strategies and the characteristics of high-achieving HSC candidates. Following this, Dr Daphne Foster and Dr James Foster spoke about their own experience of doing the HSC and shared some tips with our students. Daphne also spoke about the importance of keeping healthy including having 8-10 hours of sleep per night, eating a healthy diet, keeping active and limiting screen time. Feedback from people was very positive and we aim to hold this event again early next year for Year 11. We are very grateful for Daphne and James for sharing some very helpful advice with our students. Thank you to everyone who attended.

From the WellBeing Team

We all experience anxiety from time to time and, as adults, we can be more in tune with how and why we feel it.  In children, anxiety can manifest itself in many different ways, you might even be surprised by some!  So, next time your child is displaying some of these behaviours take a step back and have a think about what is going on in their bigger picture.

It's Bus Safety Week

What do I do when my child is late ?

If your child is late to school, they need to come to the Student Services door at the Front Office where they will be issued a 'late note' before joining their class.

School Banking returns to Wednesday next week

School banking will now occur each Wednesday morning, help your child develop good saving habits and earn special rewards along the way. See Mrs Andrews next Wednesday morning on the Primary verandah for more information.
