Welcome Back to Term 4

Term 4 is a very busy time of the year, so please keep up to date with all events and due dates.

I hope you are all well and enjoyed Term 3 and the term break. Term 4 is full of excitement and many celebration events. I have had a wonderful time away and enjoyed sharing my travel news with the children at Assembly.

Wellbeing Week

The first week of Term 4 was Wellbeing Week with many activities planned across the College to highlight the many ways we can assist both our mental and physical health and look after each other. In celebration of Wellbeing Week, the following activities were organised for Fairview. They included the Wellbeing Picnic, with our favourite teddy bears and our special visitors who spent time in our classrooms.

Teddy Bear Picnic

Grandparent or Special Friend Visit

The first week of Term 4 had a strong focus of Wellbeing and coincided with World Mental Health Day on Thursday 10 October. Many activities were run across the College to highlight the ways we can assist both our mental and physical health and look after each other.

We discussed with the children at Assembly the importance of:

  • Physical activity: keeping active
  • Mental and cognitive activity: keep learning and discovering
  • Healthy diet: eat and drink well
  • Friendships and Social interaction: play and be social with each other.

These are not only areas we focus on during this time, but in everyday aspects of our lives.
