Improvement Team Reports

Curriculum, Assessment & Reporting Improvement Team - Council report

Over the past weeks, the Curriculum, Assessment & Reporting Improvement team has been preparing for the Semester 1 examination process. All students in Years 7-11 will undertake exams. Examinations are conducted across the College to set a culture of high expectations, build learning stamina, and develop our students' ability to progressively demonstrate knowledge and skills under examination conditions. Families will receive feedback on their child's achievement levels via Compass and the Semester 1 report.

  • Senior school exams will be conducted between 1st and 9th June.
  • Junior school exams will be conducted between 5th and 9th June.

Semester 1 reports will be available through your child's Compass portal on Friday, 23rd June. These reports give students, parents, and guardians valuable insight into the progress your child is achieving against the Victorian Curriculum F-10 achievement standards. Please take some time to go through these reports with your child, celebrate their successes, and discuss strategies they could adopt in Term 3 to assist them in improving.

If you require assistance in accessing these reports or would like more advice on interpreting your child's report or strategies for supporting your child, please contact the relevant TTL for the year level or the Assistant Principal.

As we plan ahead for the 2024 school year, we are focused on maximising the curriculum pathways that Keysborough College can provide to our students. The Curriculum, Assessment & Reporting Improvement team is currently reviewing the feasibility of expanding the Vocational Education and Training (VET) subjects offered on-site. Courses still being considered for inclusion in 2024 are:

  • Certificate 2 in Health Services Assistant
  • Certificate 3 in Music Industry Performance
  • Certificate 3 in Visual Art

We believe our senior students will benefit greatly from increasing access to on-site VET subjects, as this will improve their opportunity to include vocational study within their senior secondary certificate. In addition to the prospect of undertaking a nationally recognised qualification while still contributing to their VCE or VCE-VM program.
