May is a busy and fun community month for HEPS and the Parents Association!

What a joy it was to volunteer on the Mother’s Day stall, to see the children thoughtfully consider a gift for a very special person.   There was much positive feedback on the range of items and value for money. Thank you to all the volunteers, including males who considerately thought it their duty to volunteer to prevent that special person receiving any clues as to what their gift might be! 

On Saturday 13th, 113 families enjoyed 'Sing 2' on the oval, complete with perfect weather, lighting and dinner options.  This year saw the introduction of roving popcorn and treat sellers, thanks to some senior students who enthusiastically enhanced the customer experience.  All volunteers did an incredible job organising set up, catering, lighting and pack up and we thank you enormously for making the night a success. Speaking of lighting ….. the lights in the below photo were purchased from the money raised in the 2021 movie night, which is a great example of how fundraising efforts benefit the school community.

The next event is the ever popular school Open Night on May 18 at 6.30pm.  Experience performances, classroom activities, book sales, displays, plus much more.  And don’t forget to pop into the staff room to say g’day to the Parents Association members where beautiful earrings left over from the Mothers Day stall will be on sale for $7, CASH ONLY.

Finally, keep a lookout for upcoming information about the Subway special lunch order day on Friday 16th June.

Next Meeting

The next PA meeting will be held at 2.30pm on Wednesday 18th May. All are welcome to come along to learn more about our Parents Association or to join the team!
