in God's time

The LORD is great and highly praised; his greatness is unsearchable. One generation will declare your works to the next and will proclaim your mighty acts.

Psalm 145:3

God’s greatness is unsearchable, and yet, I think about it every day. I want to see with my own eyes the majesty and the immensity of a God we can’t see and a Saviour we’ve only heard about. These stories have been passed from parents to children, stories of a God that desires to be worshipped and adored, but also to bless his creation.

During the first half of 2020, most, if not all of humanity, has attempted to search for God’s goodness in the midst of a pandemic, riots, drought, fires and many things in between. Somehow, though, there is the same promise for us as there was for the people of Israel who marched through a Wilderness enduring many struggles. Here is what God says to the people through Joshua:

And you know with all your heart and your soul that none of the good promises the LORD your God made to you has failed. Everything was fulfilled for you; not one promise has failed.

Joshua 23:14b

God’s timing sometimes takes a lot of time.

May God grant you peace and patience during the rest of 2020, but I want you to remember that God’s promises of faithfulness to you will never fail.
