Music

Here are some screen shots of our first ever Junior Band rehearsal! Created to provide a stage for Beginning and Intermediate band and orchestral musicians, the Junior Band rehearses online every Friday afternoon at 3.30 pm. The students are currently working on 'Let's Rock' and 'Majestic March' with the aim of performing at the end of the year.

Science Week

Ms Gurm and the Science Department have been celebrating National Science Week with quizzes and remote activities.  They have provided one of the quizzes below to test your knowledge.

Ms Gurm has continued with her photography hobby while in lockdown.  She has titled this photo 'Little things bring Joy'.

CSYMA and Youth Ministry

Pope Francis has renewed the Gospel call to be Missionary Disciples in the world to those we walk with. Our Youth Ministry courses are geared directly to this call from Matthew 28: 16-20. Currently our students from Years 9 to 11 are working through the new workbooks and online materials for their respective courses in Youth Ministry. With great videos and related worksheets many of our students are gaining insights into the Catholic faith, the community and themselves. We do not walk this path alone, as Jesus said, 'And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’

Science - ICAS Exam

Parents please note: the ICAS exam for 2020 has been postponed to Term 4.

This exam is offered to all school students by the UNSW. More information can be accessed at:

All Laurel Science  students participate in this event each year. In addition, general science students form Years 7 to 9 are also invited to participate.

If your child would like to take part please ask them to email me at  sandeep.gurm@nazareth.vic.edu.au by Friday 9 October (first Friday in Term 4).
