Faith and Wellbeing Assistant Principal's Report

Assemblies

On Friday 14 August 2020 we had a Years 7 and 8 Zoom Assembly and a Years 9 and 10 Zoom Assembly. Our goal was to try and continue to live as a community, despite the physical distance we are experiencing in this lockdown period.  It was great to see over 200 people in each Zoom Assembly and hear from our College Captains, our Principal  and College Counsellor.   All the presenters from the Assemblies acknowledged the great work of students, parents/guardians and teachers at this time, as well as offering support and advice for looking after ourselves.

Some highlights of the Assemblies were the music video produced by Ms Mauceri and her Year 10 Music class and the Year 7 Aerobics video produced by Ms Mauceri and featuring by Dakota Misso, Leilani Messina and Victoria Kammel.  Congratulations to all the students and Ms Mauceri.  A great effort!

On Thursday 27 August 2020 at 9.00 am we will be having a Zoom Whole School Assembly.  This will be an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate some of our excellent academic achievements and efforts in Semester 1 2020, as well as showcase some of our talented students.  Parents/Guardians and family members are most  welcome to attend the Zoom Assembly.   The Zoom details are listed below:

Faith

At this time we are very blessed to have our faith.  We encourage you to make some time in this lockdown for personal prayer and also using the Masses and Prayer supports at Parishes online.

NCCA Raffle

During this lockdown time we have a large number of raffle ticket books for the NCCA’s major fundraising effort of the year.  It is very tough at this time to sell books, but if you would like to support this effort of the NCCA (all the money goes back into the school and ultimately benefits the students) please email me at Justin.Duckett@nazareth.vic.edu.au  and we will mail a raffle book to you.  Tickets are $2.00 each or $20.00 for a book of 10 tickets.

Partnership

Despite the physical distance we continue the desire to work in partnership.  Please be in touch via email or call the College if there is anything we can do to support the learning or wellbeing of your child at this time.
