Classroom News - Kindergarten

Kindergarten have had a great start to Term 3. We have settled very quickly into the routines of the classroom and look forward to a busy term of learning.

English

This week we are starting our targeted speaking and listening program. Each child has been allocated a day where they talk about a special item or event. Big write will also commence this week and a letter will be sent home with information about the topic Kindergarten will be writing in class.  

Maths

In Maths, Kindergarten have been consolidating their knowledge of the teen numbers and will continue their learning of numbers up to 30. We are enjoying playing Maths games that help us to put our knowledge of numbers into practice, whilst also having fun! 

History

Last week we started our History unit about Families. We discussed that there are many different families and we drew pictures of the people in our family. In Week 5, students will be sharing a family photo for News, which will also complement this unit.
