Centenary Celebrations

Welcome to our special edition Centenary edition Newsletter. We understand there has been a lot of different communication around how our special little school is celebrating it’s 100-year birthday and thought we would collate all of that information in a limited-edition newsletter.

We have had a tireless group of parents and teachers working behind the scenes to try and make our Centenary birthday the best celebration that RPS has ever seen.

Our 100 years comes with so much history, but also made us pause and think about how we want to move forward at RPS for the next 100 years. In order to celebrate both the history and the future we are having a weeklong centenary celebration. It will start on Friday the 11th of November with an official opening and conclude on Sunday the 20th of November with our Centenary Carnival. Past and present Ripponlea family and friends are welcome at all of our celebrations.

We do need to put a big shout-out to all of you, our Ripper families, for all of your support over these past months as we have tried to pull all of this together. Whether you have volunteered your time, brought in a jar, donated items for market stalls, brought in a stick, donated for our auction, or many of the other things we have asked of you, we say a MASSIVE THANK YOU! It takes a community to hold an event like this and without each and everyone one of you we would not be able to celebrate our amazing little school in such a grand and fun way.

Please remember if you have any questions or want to help out in any way you can always reach out to us at ripperfamilies@gmail.com or to myself on tarryn.holland@education.vic.gov.au

We look forward to seeing you all at our centenary celebrations.

Thanks,

Ripper Families Committee
