Principal Reflections
A Short Message from Dr Jake
Dear Parents & Friends,
As we plunge into the festive season (if it hasn't already commenced!!), it is important that we don't lose sight of our health and wellness goals. It is so easy to let all the holiday parties, gift shopping and general merriment throw us off track.
I stumbled over this poem and thought it might be a useful reflective tool to centre ourselves as we ensure we are being good role models to our children, friends and families during this time of year.
AN INDOOR GARDEN
First plant four rows of peas.
Prayer
Preparedness
Politeness
Perseverance
Next to them plant three rows of squash.
Squash gossip
Squash criticism
Squash indifference
Then plant four rows of lettuce.
Let us be faithful
Let us be unselfish
Let us be helpful
Let us love one another
And no garden is complete without turnips.
Turn up to school meetings or whatever
Turn up with a smile
Turn up with determination
Please help us in our garden Lord.
Amen.
No matter what time of year, it is always important to remember our health and wellness goals! I hope this poem helps to centre you as you work towards being a good role model for your children, friends, and families.
Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us as we are only too happy to help.
Peace & Best Wishes
Dr Jake Madden
