Welcome

In this edition of MY FUTURE Careers News, we are now in the midst of our Senior Years Exam period. It is vitally important that our Year 11 students perform to their best ability as increasingly some universities use Year 11 results to help determine Early Entry offers to courses in 2024. I spoke to our Year 11 cohort last week about the importance of this period in their Wellbeing lesson, and also spoke of the importance of contributing to community whether it be here at school or in their general community such as sporting clubs etc. This enables them to qualify for the Aspire Community Contribution Program at La Trobe University. This scheme rewards students for their community contribution by lowering the entry ATAR to all La Trobe courses. I encourage all students to apply in Year 12.
In addition, this edition includes information on
- Open days and Information Sessions such as Art and Design Courses and another Police Information Session
- Change of Preference Event at RMIT
- A Foundation Sewing Workshop in the School Holidays at Whitehouse Institute
- Getting your First Job
- How to become a Physiotherapist.
