Creative Arts Evening

By Miss Tiffany Martin

Wow! What a fabulous night! It is so lovely for our students to be able to get back on the stage to perform in front of their families in our Annual Creative Arts Evening. I am sure you would agree that our students loved every minute of their performances and their adorable smiling faces are testament of this.

Over the past few weeks the students and the class teachers have been busily preparing their items, practicing and rehearsing their lines, dance and musical routines. Their effort during this time has been phenomenal and their creative talents were able to flow immensely. The skills that the students applied during their practices and the performance on Wednesday night meets outcomes from the Creative Arts curriculum and enables students to appreciate the performances of others simultaneously.

Our students look forward to participating in the Creative Arts Evening and it has become a highlight of the year for many of our students. They love to have an opportunity to express themselves in creative ways and students love how they learn to be more confident to perform in front of a crowd and love working as a team with their class peers.

I would like to thank the efforts of all of our amazing school staff for helping their students to learn and perform their items and of course to the beautiful student performers for always applying themselves to their practices and making improvements for a better quality performance. We must also acknowledge the assistance of our parents in helping to arrange costumes and for being great supporters of our talented students.

A huge thanks must also go to the staff at Guyra Central School especially Felicity Williams, for allowing us to use their school gym for our show and for assisting us with learning about the sounds and lights. We are very lucky to be able to share the resources in our school community and are so very grateful for the support offered by Guyra Central School.
