Leadership Camp

Students from the leadership group attended the Leadership camp on the Monday 15th to the Tuesday the 16th March. The camp was held in the stunning Toolangi

state forest at the aptly named Camp Toolangi. Whilst on camp the students were able to reflect on what leadership for the coming year at JMSS would look like and

how they could leave their mark on 2021. They also got to play some leadership games and looked at different leadership styles. The camp was not all work though

and the students participated in adventurous activities as hosted by camp staff. Students were able to climb the climbing tower, use the zip line, fly the possum glyder

and go on a bush walk. The bush walk was particularly fun for some who came back with leeches :( Feedback from the students has been excellent and they

believe they are set for a great year. The Camp was attended by the following staff, Stephen Finch, Peter Corkill, Sally Cheah Johnson and Phil Schmidt. I think

all staff and students have just about caught up on sleep by now.

Alumni published in Nature Astronomy
