A new challenge for the BrainSTEM team

Northcote Students enter the Victorian Design Challenge

Two of the BrainSTEM team have taken their project one step further. Milla Freeman and Katinka Weber have entered their Green Tap into the Victorian Design Challenge sponsored by The National Gallery of Victoria. This year’s theme is Waste and both industry professionals and students from primary, secondary and university institutions have been invited to enter their design ideas. The girls worked all summer long in correspondence with their mentor from Swinburne University, Charlie Ranscombe, to compile their submission for Stage 1.

Last week they received the great news that they have qualified for Stage 2. So there is more work ahead for the girls, including a live pitch to prepare, which will take place at the NGV on Tuesday 19th March. Milla and Katinka are really excited but a little nervous to be presenting in front of industry professionals and the general public.
