Science

A selection of Year 10 students took part in the Rotary Science and Engineering Challenge on Wednesday 3 March. The challenge was presented by The University of Newcastle in partnership with Inland Rail and in cooperation with Charles Sturt University, Riverina Water County Council, Rotary Clubs of Wagga Wagga and Nixon Engineering.

We thank these organisations for their help and guidance on the day. Students were given the opportunity to work alongside other Riverina students to design and build a range of structures including bridges, electricity distribution systems, bionic hands, buildings, turbines and hover crafts.

The structures and projects were judged on the day and our Year 10 students were awarded first place. Thank you to Mrs McRae and Ms Noske for their help on the day. This is our second win in this competition in two years. Congratulations to those students who participated and represented Mater Dei so well.
