Lenten Fundraising Opportunities
Easter Raffle
Each family should have received a raffle ticket booklet. Booklets were distributed in Homegroup this week. Each ticket is $1.00 and please include contact details on the tickets. Once sold, please return the booklet to the College Office. Students are encouraged to bring their donations into school and pass them onto their Homegroup Teacher.
The Easter Raffle supports St Vincent de Paul’s Micah House in Wagga Wagga. We have had past students use the services of Micah House when they have left the College, so understandably this fundraising opportunity is close to our hearts. Thank you for your support!
Project Compassion “Be More”
Thank you for your continued donations to Project Compassion this Lent. To date the College has raised a total of $1628.90.
Parish Youth Mass - Sunday, 21 March at 10:00am
We welcome everyone to join us for our first Youth Mass on Sunday 21 March at Sacred Heart Church.
Our students will join with Mater Dei Primary School and Sacred Heart Primary School to facilitate the Mass together.
Pope Francis in Iraq
Pope Francis’ trip to Iraq recently was courageous and symbolic. Iraq is the first country he decided to visit after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and he proceeded with his plan, despite the wave of rocket attacks and a deadly bombing in Baghdad in the preceding weeks.
Lord God of Peace,Grant us peace, teach us peace; guide our steps in the way of peace. Open our eyes and instill in our hearts the courage to work for peace.
Keep alive within us the flame of hope, so that with patience and perseverance we may opt for dialogue and reconciliation.
Lord, defuse the violence of our tongues and our hands.
Renew our hearts and minds, so that the word which always brings us together will be "brother", and our way of life will always be that of: Shalom, Peace. Amen. (Pope Francis)
