Booklists Have Arrived!

I am pleased to announce that the school booklist and textbooks have now arrived. If students haven’t already, they need to collect their order from the library.

All students are now expected to be well prepared for class. For Year 11 and 12 students, this includes having the specified Mathematics text book. If parents have chosen to buy the Mathematics Textbook second-hand, I ask that they check the book to ensure the previous owner has not written all the answers in the book.

Exploring Plant Structure

Year 11 ATAR students collected and prepared various leaves around the College for a Stomata Peel. The students also reacquainted themselves with the correct use of microscopes.

Stomates on plant leaves help a plant to transpire and this is where Gas Exchange occurs so we can breathe oxygen. Stomata are surrounded by two guard cells that open and close the stoma depending on the time of day and temperature. We found a lot of stomata!!

Communication

Parents are encouraged to contact the teaching staff via telephone or email if they have any concerns or information that may assist us to help your child. Subject specific questions should be directed to the relevant classroom teacher.

If you are not sure who to contact then contact me and I can forward your query to the appropriate person. I can be reached by phoning the school or by email.
