Thank you to those students and parents who have been keeping us informed of their movements and upcoming absences in advance, this is greatly appreciated. Early communication is the key so it can be ascertained whether the absence will be authorised or unauthorised and any implications are identified in advance. 

Digital Footprint

Students need to be mindful of the digital footprint they are leaving behind. It is very common for future employers to undertake social media and ‘google’ searches of potential employees as a form of screening and ‘character reference’. 

With this is mind, students need to ensure they are the only ones who know their passwords to access emails, computer logins, social media sites and that the information both written and pictorial is appropriate. We all need to work hard to maintain the security and cleanliness of our digital footprint. 

OLNA

Commences on Tuesday 2nd March with the writing component for students required to be completed by the 4th March. The schedule will be available next week. This will include information about the OLNA and details to access the practice tests.

Year 12 Work Experience

Students who indicated Work Experience as part of their subject selection process last year have met with Mr Pfitzner and begun the process of identifying a suitable placement. Students are required to have submitted their Work Experience form to Mrs Raper by Tuesday 23rd February. 

In addition, students are required to complete the Covid-19 Induction Awareness Training prior to commencing their work placement. 

Students and parents who have any queries or require assistance are encouraged to contact myself or Mrs Raper.

Connect

Connect is the platform which the College uses to enable students and parents secure, convenient access to their education anytime, anywhere. See the attached information sheets for further details, including how to access the Connect Now App. 

Refer to the link to access the Parent Guide to assist in navigating Connect. Parents who are new users of the Department of Education ‘Connect’ will receive an email to register as a user. The email will come from idmadmin@education.wa.edu.au.
