Harmony Week - Save the Date!

This year the SRC have chosen to build on the success of last year's Harmony Day by holding Harmony Week from the 22nd - 26th March.  Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background.  The theme of Harmony Week 'Everyone Belongs' aligns with our school values of Respect and Inclusion and reflects the importance we place on maintaining strong relationships with all members of our school community.

The purpose of Harmony Week is to celebrate Australia as a vibrant and multicultural country — from the oldest continuous culture of our first Australians to the cultures of our newest arrivals from around the world.  The cultural diversity is one of Australia's greatest strengths and is at the heart of who we are. It makes Australia a great place to live.

Today the SRC met to discuss their Harmony Week initiative further, including details for the Harmony Fair and other possible activities that could be run throughout the week.  We will continue to keep the community informed about our student led initiative as this exciting week approaches.

With best wishes,
