TAFE Study

I am pleased to announce that external TAFE courses recommenced face to face this week. We had 3 students in Electrotechnology (Year 12) and Business Administration heading back for face to face lessons. In the next 3 weeks all students will head back at various times with weekly face to face lessons commencing from Week 1 in Term 3.

Primary Industries Fencing

As part of the Primary Industries course our Year 12 students spent last week completing the practical component for their competencies of ‘Install, maintain and repair farm fencing’ and ‘Carry out basic electric fencing operations’

Thanks to Mr Rick Nieuwenhuis and Ms Emily James for organising the day and getting all the students to complete this practical component of the course. Some photos of the boys hard at work are below:

Construction Bricklaying and Framing

The two Year 12 Construction classes have been hard at work finalising this term’s practical tasks. Mr Abra’s class spent last Friday completing their competencies in Bricklaying while Mr O’Flynn’s class started the installation of the finished shade structures that they have built over the last few terms.

This task incorporates a picnic table, shade structure and it is installed on the concrete they laid at the beginning of Term 1 this year. Some great photos are below. Thanks to Mr Abra and Mr Brendan O’Flynn for all of their hard work and congratulations to the students on achieving these competencies.
