Maths 

It is so wonderful to have our school full of children once again. I thought that parents might like to see what mathematics looks like back at school. 

Please look out for:

• Concrete materials, eg kebab stick counters
• Visual representations of the problem
• Groups of children sharing ideas and solving problems collaboratively
• Teachers working in small targeted groups
• Open ended questions

These are all skills backed by evidenced based practice in mathematics.
